Christina Henkel, PT, RYT

Christina Henkel is the founder and owner of PhysiYo. She earned her Master's Degree in Physical Therapy from The College of St. Scholastica in 2000 and has spent more than 25 years helping individuals recover from injuries, surgeries, chronic pain, and movement dysfunctions in outpatient orthopedic and sports medicine settings.
Throughout her career, Christina has pursued advanced training in orthopedics, sports rehabilitation, postural dysfunction, women's health, dry needling, vertigo treatment, and advanced manual therapy. She is also a Registered Yoga Teacher, Reiki Master, and holds certifications in Holistic Nutrition and Dry Needling.
What Christina enjoys most is getting to know people. She believes the best outcomes happen when individuals feel heard, understood, and empowered to take an active role in their health. Her approach focuses on creating personalized plans that support each person's unique goals, lifestyle, and long-term wellness.
As PhysiYo has grown, Christina's role has evolved from solely treating patients to leading the vision behind the practice. While she continues to work with clients, she now spends much of her time supporting the PhysiYo team, developing new programs, and creating opportunities for the community to pursue healthier, more active lives.
Originally from Michigan's Upper Peninsula, Christina developed a lifelong appreciation for the outdoors, movement, and staying active. She enjoys life in Minnesota with her family and is grateful for their love, support, and the many ways they have contributed to the growth of PhysiYo over the years.
When she's not at PhysiYo, Christina enjoys spending time with family, practicing yoga, staying active, and continuing to explore the connections between movement, nutrition, and overall well-being.

"My goal has never been simply to help people recover from pain. It's to help them build the strength, confidence, and habits they need to live healthier, fuller lives."
